Spring Creek Cabin Beginnings
WELCOME TO SPRING CREEK CABIN BEGINNINGS!This blog is just a pre-cursor to our web-site that is being built and will be available for you to check out soon. This is all about our really neat rustic log cabin in the Arkansas Ozarks. It will be available for rental in Spring of '06 (grand opening will be posted later). People come from all over the country to enjoy the region here in NW Arkansas where they can enjoy a variety of fun outdoor type things to do in an all natural surrounding. Canoeing & Kayaking on the pristine Buffalo River, plus swimming, fishing, boating, camping and hiking are among the many activities you can participate in while visiting this area we locals know as 'God's Country'. This beautiful protected river is just 2 miles from our cabin. There are also canoe rental places within 5-6 miles from here and they travel right down Spring Creek Road since it is a drop off and pick up point for river access in this area.
We have built a log cabin for rental so that folks can come visit year after year and make it a tradition to stay with us here in the Ozarks. The cabin will have sleeping accommodations for 7. Equipped with stove, fridge, dining area and bath with standing shower plusair-conditioning, this cabin will provide the comforts of home and will welcome you after a fun day of canoeing, fishing, etc. We will also have towels, kitchen utensils, microwave, toaster oven, full electric stove and a grill outside for your convenience.
Bleu, the cabin dog, will be here with side-kick Shorty, to greet you and show you around the grounds. We will be providing links to points of interest in the immediate area at a later date. We will also provide links to a map page so you can get an idea of where we are located.
Keep checking this blog out as we will be providing prices, phone number & web address.
Until then, view the picture/pictures I will add so you can get an idea of the beauty of the area in which we call home.
Can’t wait to meet you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will love this place! We were here last year and it is beautiful, peaceful and serene. Just down the gravel road is the pristine Buffalo River - right off a picture post card. You can go swimming, canoeing or just stand there and take it all in. If you want to "get back to nature" but with all the amenities....this is it! And don't forget to give Bleu and Shorty a scratch behind the ears for us! :) Can't wait to get back....

Having watched Spring Creek Cabin grow pretty much from the ground up, I can say it's been built with the best materials and by someone who is a perfectionist in everything he does: David "McGyver" Eveland! Dave also built his own home before he built SCC. What I'm trying to say here is that you can feel safe and comfortable staying there. Like Kim and Robin said, the surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and serene and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Buffalo River. If you're planning a float trip, you couldn't find a better place to stay this summer! Having known the Evelands myself for 30 years, I can tell you that they are "salt of the Earth" type folks and will make your stay in Spring Creek Cabin one that you'll definitely want to repeat!
